In the first season unlike most game shows where the contestants choose the categories, the categories go in succession, but starting season two, they choose the categories. The first person in line is then shown a word and must convey that word to their teammate. If the word is guessed correctly, the person who guesses the word must convey a new word to the next teammate. However, if the current guesser is stumped and can't get the word, the current giver can immediately pass to the next player. If there are two passes used on any single word, then play goes to the next word. This process continues until five words are guessed or until 30 seconds (45 seconds in Season 2) run out. Round 1: Each word is worth 100 points and guessing five words adds a 200-point bonus, for a total of 700 points. Round 2: Each word is worth 200 points and guessing five words adds a 400-point bonus, for a total of 1,400 points. In season two, round two is played differently from how it’s played in season one. Each team captain chooses a category and is shown eight answers in that category. Then, they must choose which answer to take out of play. After that, they describe the seven remaining answers to their teammates. The teammates get to guess three times each word before they must move on to the next word. Each answer is worth 200 points, and if all the seven words are guessed correctly within 60 seconds, the team scores a bonus of 400 points. Each team plays only one category in this round. "Before we go, here's a clue for you. (Insert clues) Who/What is/are he/she/they? I'll tell you when we come back on Get A Clue!" "Before the break, I gave you the following clue. (Insert clues) Who/What is/are he/she/they? That's right, they are/he/she is/it's a... (with audience: "INSERT ANSWER!")" ===Round 3 - Choose Your Word=== In this round, words are worth 200, 400, and 600 points. Two teammates (one giver and one guesser) have 60 seconds to guess as many words and build up their score as possible with the higher values meaning harder words. The giver selects a point value to play for and then gives clues to the upcoming word. After 15 seconds, a 2,000-point word is unlocked and the giver must immediately decide whether to go for it or not. To go for it, the giver must pass on or complete the current word first. Once decided on whether it's played or not, it's locked back up. The team with the highest score at the end of this round wins. In the case of a tie, the team captains are given a series of clues to one more answer by Rob. The team captain who rings in with a correct guess wins the game, but if they ring in with an incorrect guess, the other team automatically wins the game. ===Bonus Round=== The winning team has 60 seconds to guess up to eight words. One member is chosen to describe the first word (indicated by the corner of their podium lighting up in the first season, and their entire podium lighting up orange in the second season), but the guesser is chosen at random from the others (indicated by their entire podium lighting up in the first season, and their entire podium lighting up green in the second season). A correct guess or pass transfers control to the guesser for the next word, and a new guesser is chosen at random. In addition, unlike the first two rounds, passing always gives the incoming giver a new word. If the team correctly guesses eight words within 60 seconds, they win $10,000. But if they can’t, they win $1,000. ==Rating== ==Trivia== *Get a Clue returned on January 4 with 2 teams of 3 instead of 2 teams of 4. ==Studio== Caesars Entertainment Studios - Paradise, Nevada ==Photo== ==References== <references/> ==Links== Official Site ===YouTube Video=== Sneak Preview Episode
