- David Tiemann is the first 3-time champion to qualify for the ToC.
- For first time, two female players advanced to ToC final.
- Marilyn Kneeland, who placed 3rd in the ToC, is the best female winner of any other tournament.
- In the 15-member ToC, many women participated (7 players).
- Tom Nosek becomes the oldest ToC winner.
- As this year's ToC winner, Tom Nosek received the season 9 spot for the Tenth Anniversary Tournament which took place the following week. Tom reached the finals and finished second to Frank Spangenberg.
- Last ToC to invite the top winners of only the preceding season. Starting with the 1994 ToC, the eligibility period for ToCs became the entire time between tournaments.
- Tom Nosek's winning score of $27,600 is the highest ToC winning score in the pre-doubled era.
