Jeopardy! Celebrity Invitational began on April 27, 1998, and one-week of games aired on the fourth week of April. The final rounds aired during the first day of May 1998. A total of 15 celebrities—three per game for the five episodes—competed for a grand prize of $15,000 for their charity. The winners of each qualifying game returned in April 1998 for three semi-final games.
