The 2023 Jeopardy! Champions Wildcard is a tournament for wildcard players who will compete for a berth at the Tournament of Champions. The champions from 1 to 3 wins, along with the Second Chance winners of the season will face off, and the winner will be given the right to participate in the ToC, which will be played in the post season. Down below, you'll notice that each group of contestants are represented by a card suit symbol.

- It seems that the Second Chance of the last round was saved only for those who did not win, and an ironic situation occurred where the champions with 1-3 wins had no chance at all, so it seems to have been created. It now creates hierarchy of Second Chance-Champions Wildcard-ToC, as winners of the previous level advance to the next one.
- The purpose of this tournament seems to be to create a second James and Emma rematch through the relief of the contestants who beat Superchamp, just like the return match between James and Emma[1].
- In addition, the ToC is not skipped, and the part that is standardized in a format that is held every year and is organized as a rebroadcast after the season ends, can become a de facto fixed program as the showdown continues in the postseason.
- On the other hand, there is no relief for those who do not win regular tournaments, like the 2023 High School Reunion, specials may also be held for those who do not win tournaments. In fact, the finalists of the 2021 Profession and the participants of the National College champion have emerged.
- With Josh Saak qualifying for the ToC, four people competing with Matt Amodio have qualified for the ToC.
