The 2025 Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament is a tournament hosted by Ken Jennings.
Rule[]
The tournament was held immediately after the 2025 Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions, and the ToC winner and JIT winner will advance to the Masters along with the three who were seeded in the last Masters. Three participants from the previous Masters series, the two runners-up from the 2024 Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions, and 22 other champions, will compete to determine who will advance to the Masters. The rules are the same as the previous 27-player tournament, but instead of a 2-day system, the finals will be held in a format similar to the revamped ToC tournament, the winner of two out of four rounds being the winner. The prize money for the winner is $150,000.

Evaluation[]
With his win at JIT, Matt now shares the Masters attendance record with James, and both Millionaires now hold the record for tournament win.
This JIT was similar to the 2022 ToC, with many of the favorites being eliminated in the Quartfinal and Superchamp winning the title amidst his poor performance. The difference is that this time around, Matt and Amy's positions are reversed, and their opponents are the same five-win champions and other tournament winners.
Overall, this lineup is also receiving favorable reviews, and Roger, who will be 50 years old next year but came in second, and Juveria, who won the SC and Wildcard competitions and came in third at this year's JIT, are also receiving favorable reviews. Many believe that if these two had won the second leg of the final, the match would have been more exciting, and that one of them would have received a wild card and advanced to the Masters.
Also, Matt also won all his matches in close matches, and since there were only two landslide victories in the entire JIT, many say that we have entered the Warring States Period, where it is difficult to predict the winner based on winning streaks alone. It is also difficult to predict who will win this Masters, and many viewers are looking forward to it.
Trivia[]
- The tournament was set to tape on January 13–15, 2025, but the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, California caused its postponement to February 4–6, 2025.[2]
- Veronica Vichit-Vadakan is the alternate for this tournament.
- Like 2025 Toc, This is the first Invitational Tournament to have a tie for second place, The first tiebreaker is number of second place finishes in the finals. Roger Craig finished first runner-up (2-0), Juveria Zaheer finished second runner-up. However, since both people received the same prize money, it is meaningless.
- Mattea Roach, Cris Pannullo, Brad Rutter, Julia Collins, Andrew He, and Eric Ahasic were originally invited to this tournament, but could not return.
- Amy Schneider is the only player to appear in the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament twice.[3]
- The tournament was supposed to start on February 14, 2025 but the 2025 Tournament of Champions TuneIn Exhibition Game airing that day caused its postponement to February 17, 2025.
