Adam Noah Levine (born March 18, 1979) is an American singer-songwriter best known as the frontman for the pop-rock band Maroon 5.
Levine began his musical journey in 1994, co-founding the LA-based alternative rock band Kara's Flowers where he served as its' lead vocalist and guitarist. The band made one album, The Fourth World (1997) before splitting up and reforming with new member James Valentine in 2001 under the new name Maroon 5. The band released their official debut, Songs About Jane in 2002 but it took until two years later in 2004 for the band to achieve their breakthrough with the single "This Love", which reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100. The band continued their success with "She Will Be Loved", which also reached #5.
The band has released four albums since Songs About Jane: It Won't Be Soon Before Long (2007), Hands All Over (2011), Overexposed (2013), and V (2014), which have produced hit singles such as "Harder to Breathe", "This Love", "She Will Be Loved", "Makes Me Wonder" (the band's first #1), "Wake Up Call", "Misery", "Moves Like Jagger" (their second #1), "Payphone", "One More Night" (third #1), "Daylight", "Maps", "Animals" and "Sugar".
Since 2011, Adam has been a coach on The Voice, where he is one of the two mainstays along with Blake Shelton, who he shares a bromance with. Adam has won 3 out of 9 seasons with singers Javier Colon, Tessanne Chin, and Jordan Smith, placing him second for the most acts won behind Blake Shelton with five.
Adam has been married to model Behati Prinsloo since 2014 and the couple is currently expecting their first child together.
