When announcing the location, "of" is occasionally said instead of "from."
The "(insert surname) family" line is said occasionally beginning in Season 2 and extensively in Seasons 5-8. It is even said for submitters who have only two family members in the audience. It is said rarely in Seasons 3, 9, 10, and 31 onwards and is not said at all in Seasons 1 and 11-13, except in the "Battle of the Best."
The "from (insert city/town/village, insert state/province)" line is omitted in $100,000 and grand prize shows.
The "Sent in by (insert surname) family" or the "Sent in by (insert surname) family from (insert city/town/village, insert state/province)!" line was absent in three episodes of the Saget era during $100,000 episodes and the $250,000 episode of the show in 2006.
In Season 2, the name(s) of the submitter(s)'(s) child(ren) and/or pet(s) is/are included in the "(insert name(s))" line and the host points out they are the submitter(s)'(s) child(ren) and/or pet(s). This is also done in Seasons 9 and 10, but the hosts do not point out the aforementioned facts.
In Seasons 16-24 and 26, “and family” is sometimes added to the submitter's name if the "(insert name)" line is said. This is said in tandem with the generic "(insert surname) family" line and like it, it is even said for submitters who have only two family members in the audience.
In Season 4, Episode 10, the North Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps., the submitter of "Achy Breaky Paramedics," is referred to by name, marking the only occurrence in the show in which the submitter(s) of a video is/are not referred to by full name(s) or as "the (insert surname) family."
The city/town/village is rarely omitted. In cases of this, only the state/province is said. Occasionally, it is replaced by a region in the state/province.
- The locations are completely omitted for all nominees in Season 2, Episode 24, likely due to time constraints.
If the submitters of a video are from multiple locations, the host will announce the submitter(s) and the first location, then repeat for the submitter(s) and the second location onwards.
- In Season 27 onwards, if the submitters are from different locations in the same state/province, Ribeiro will say the names of the submitters, followed by "from (insert first city/town/village) and (insert second city/town/village), (insert state/province)!"
