Andi Matheny (born on September 10, 1960) was born in Spokane, Washington and grew up in San Anselmo, California; a suburb of north of San Francisco. After graduating from UCLA with a degree in Theater Arts, Andi has appeared in several plays in Los Angeles and San Francisco, culminating in her parody of a one-woman show, the critically acclaimed Andi's Act. During this time Andi held a series of odd jobs, including writing greeting cards, selling RV's, waitressing and performing stunts at Universal Studios. Andi also periodically did stand-in work for game show pilots, a stint which led her first hosting job for Ralph Edwards/Stu Billett productions, a male beauty contest called "Bring on the Boys" several pilots followed, as did the nationally syndicated series "Kwik Witz", "Essentials" (TLC), "Fit Resort and Spa" (Fit TV) and "Friends or Lovers" (USA Network). Andi continued her study of acting with the late great acting teacher Roy London and subsequently with industry favorite Ivana Chubbuck. She has enjoyed a full spectrum of roles as a ditzy psychology professor on "Zoey 101", a glib morning anchor on "Ugly Betty", a bitter social advocate in the independent movie "American Zombie" and recently wrapped production on the new film "0's and 1's" and filmed a graphic novel called "Level 26: Dark Prophecy" for CSI creator Anthony Zuiker. She also plays a recurring role as Brenda on the internet series "King's English" Andi has also appeared opposite side Simon Baker on the hit CBS series "The Mentalist" and her episodes of "Monk" and "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" aired on The Disney Channel" several times a year. Andi has also lent her voice to dozens of television and radio commercials and appeared in several on-air ads. Past campaigns include "Oil of Olay", "Breath-Right" nasal strips, "Expedia.com", "Iams" dog food and "Toyota" among many. And you may already have heard her "Be Hospitable" campaign for Hilton Hotels television and her nationwide radio campaign for Albertsons-Osco-SavOn-Jewel pharmacies. Andi currently lives with her husband, screenwriter Tom Flynn, in St. Petersburg, Florida. She recently started a successful acting school and private coaching practice in the Tampa Bay area. Andi's household is full of cats, a dog, hockey jerseys, baseball cards and lots of kitchen tools. in her spare time, Andi enjoys complaining about the San Francisco Giants, playing online Bridge, her yearly easter binge of Cadbury chocolate eggs and writing about herself in the third person.
