  • He made his debut on Friday, April 15, 2016, and came back from a score of $400 going into Double Jeopardy to $16,600 going into Final. He wagered to cover his closest competitor’s all-in bet by $1, and all three players answered Final Jeopardy correctly[1].
  • He would go on to win 6 games and $170,202 in regular play. In trying for his seventh win, he was defeated by Buzzy Cohen, who would go on to win 9 games as well as the next year’s Tournament of Champions.
  • He is believed to be the only person other than Ken Jennings to have run (get all clues correct in) four categories in a single game. He did this in his third game, on April 19.

Tournament of Champions[]

In the fifth quarterfinal game, he faced 5-day champions Justin Vossler and Jon Eisenman. He entered Final with $26,800, got Final correct, and wagered to cover a doubled score by Vossler. Andrew would advance to the semifinals after this, with neither Justin’s nor Jon’s total being sufficient enough for a wild card slot.

In the first semifinal game, he faced 2017 College Championship winner Lilly Chin and 12-day champion Austin Rogers. Surprisingly, he was outplaying Austin for quite a while in the game; however, dropping $8,000 on a Daily Double meant Andrew went into Final Jeopardy $2,000 behind Austin, and as both of them got Final Jeopardy correct, He was knocked out in the semifinal round. Ironically, Austin would end up losing in the finals to ToC winner Buzzy Cohen, who had previously defeated Andrew in his initial run.
