Ariana Joan Grande-Butera (born June 26, 1993, in Boca Raton, Florida, U.S.) is an American actress, model, singer/songwriter, and dancer. She made her performance debut on Broadway at age 15, originating the role of Charlotte in 13 in 2008; it was a show she starred with future Victorious co-star Elizabeth Gillies. Grande gained national attention for her role as Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious and its spin-off Sam & Cat, which is also a spinoff of iCarly. While working for Nickelodeon Ariana Grande appeared on the Nick game shows BrainSurge & Figure it Out. In 2013, she made her outside Nickelodeon debut at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards (she introduced Justin Bieber that night). Ariana's first solo album is called Yours Truly.
Ariana is currently a judge on NBC's The Voice.[1]
On May 22, 2017, her career experienced a major setback, as her concert in Manchester, England as part of her Dangerous Woman tour was rocked by an explosion in the arena she performed, just as she was finishing her concert. Ariana and her mama Joan has since returned home to Boca Raton and suspended her tour for the time being. On Friday of that week, Ariana broke her silence again and posted this message on all her social media pages.
The following week saw Ariana return to Manchester to visit all the victims and then two days later, she and a few other artists held a benefit concert. And three days later, Ariana was back on the job.
