Baking It was a short-lived holiday competition series in which eight teams of two talented home bakers join Samberg & Rudolph at a winter cabin for a celebration of culinary holiday traditions. This was also a spinoff of Making It.
Premise[]
Contestant duos work together to create outstanding savory and sweet creations for themed challenges with the hopes of winning a cash prize, while Samberg (later Poehler) & Rudolph lead the festivities, also providing comedic and musical commentary in action. The bakers' holiday treats are judged by four opinionated real-life grandmothers (i.e., Leonhard, Robin, Williams & Zager) who happen to be fantastic bakers themselves!
Trivia[]
This premiered the same day as Queen of the Universe hosted by Graham Norton on Paramount Plus.
This was executive produced by one of the host of Making It (and former Saturday Night Live/SNL alumna) Amy Poehler.
In the opening of the first episode, their was a parody of the theme song from the short-lived 1979 ABC sitcom and formerly popular hit theme song by David Naughton of the same name called "Makin' It".
