Game No. Air Date Final score Cumulative Winnings Notes
1 March 6, 1986 $10,401 $10,401
2 March 7, 1986 $4,401 $14,802

4 March 11, 1986 $6,791 $26,992
5 March 12, 1986 $8,200 $35,192

Aftermath[]

Barbara did not participate in the Tournament of Champions despite having retired undefeated during Season 2. She was excluded from the 1986 Tournament of Champions due to discovery of her ineligibility to appear on Jeopardy!. Because she was not eligible, the argument can be made that her results are annulled and she did not win any games - but that argument is complicated by the fact that the show reportedly paid out her winnings. Lowe's 5 original games have since never been rerun.

Lowe was completely disqualified from participating in the future Tournament of Champions due to being declared ineligible as a regular-play contestant for competing under a fake name and competing on another game show in the probationary period. The spot was replaced by 4-time champion Gary Palmer.

Trivia[]

  • She is one of only two qualifying contestants to not compete in Tournament of Champions, the other one being Jerry Slowik.
  • In 2022, Barbara's airings were discovered by the National Archives of Game Show History and her airings were released. Those broadcasts are recorded in the J! Archive.
