Best Ever Trivia Show is a new Game Show Network Q & A show that pits three contestants against three trivia experts.

Gameplay[]

Three contestants face off against three trivia experts. The winning player then goes head-to-head in the final round against the Expert who performed the best throughout the show, The Ultimate Trivia Challenge.

In each round, two categories are shown, and a contestant chooses one of them as well as one of the trivia experts. The chosen expert takes their seat in “Trivia Dome.” The contestants and the trivia expert are asked a series of multiple-choice questions in the chosen category, and each person locks in which answer they think is correct. Each contestant who locks in with the correct answer scores points.

There are four questions in round one and three questions in rounds two and three. In round one, each contestant who locks in with the correct answer scores 50 points if the trivia expert gets that question right or 100 points if the trivia expert gets that question wrong. In round two, each contestant who locks in with the correct answer scores 100 points if the trivia expert gets that question right or 200 points if the trivia expert gets that question wrong. In round three, the contestants have the option to go with the trivia expert’s answer or lock-in an answer on their own after hearing from the trivia expert whether or not they are confident with the answer they have chosen. If a contestant goes with the trivia expert’s answer and they’re right, they score 200 points. If a contestant locks in an answer on their own and they’re right, they score 400 points.

The maximum score is 2,200 points for a perfect game.

If the game ends in a tie, one general knowledge trivia question is asked. Whoever locks in the fastest with the correct answer goes on to the Ultimate Trivia Challenge.

The Ultimate Trivia Challenge[]

The winner and the expert are asked five questions. If the player gets more correct answers than the expert, the player wins $10,000 and the opportunity to come back. If the players have tied at the end the five questions, the contestant must answer one more multiple-choice question correctly, pre-selected by the Trivia players as something a trivia expert would likely know. So far, no contestant has won more than a bonus round.
