(interlude) Will tonight's contestants be sharp enough to solve the new puzzles we have in store for them? Will soon see on, BID 'N' BUY! (interlude) Presented by Revlon! (interlude). Bid 'n' Buy, television's most adult puzzle game where the bidding is sharp, but your wits must be sharper. And here to conduct tonight's auction, the star of our show, BERT PARKS!!!"
Bid 'N' Buy was a short-lived auction-based game show, which saw four contestants starting with $5,000 to bid for various clues that would lead them to the identity of major prizes.
Premise[]
Four contestants, each with $5,000 to start, were shown a silhouette or picture; this served as a clue to a major prize. They would be allowed one guess each, and if no one guessed correctly, would bid for word clues in the form of a rhyming couplet. Players who bought three clues in one show would be allowed to keep what was left of their $5,000 stake, regardless if they won any prizes.
