Tournament of Champions[]
In the fourth quarterfinal match, he went against the 5-time champion Sandra Gore and Teen Tournament winner Michael Block, answered the twenty responses right (including 1 DD) and only two of them were incorrect (also including 1 DD). His was in first place throughout the first half of the J! round, however, when Sandra got her first DD correct, he could never recover.
Super Jeopardy![]
In the fifth quarterfinal game, he went up against five-time champions Liz Caccese, Rich Lerner, and Burns Cameron (the only person from the Fleming version to appear). Bruce got sixteen of his answers correct but got two of them (both of them being DD's) wrong. This game was a close battle with him not even having the lead until the halfway point of DJ! After a risky FJ! wager, Bruce was just able to make it to the semifinals by one point over Burns.
In the second semifinal game, he went up against Roger Storm and Keith Walker. In the DJ! round, two big DD wagers paid off and were more than enough to claim his spot in the finals.
In the final game, he went up against Dave Traini and Bob Verini. Bruce answered 21 answers correctly (including 2 DD's) and only got one of them wrong. His combination of risky DD wagers outrunning his opponents was enough to claim him Super Jeopardy! champion and $250,000 richer.
Death[]
Bruce died on September 18, 2024, after seven weeks of battling a COVID-19 infection, at the age of 77.
