Chef Race: U.K. vs. U.S. was a short-lived reality series that pitted sixteen chefs (eight Brits vs. eight Americans) against each other as they raced across the country, in the hopes of winning a grand prize of $100,000.
Premise[]
The race began on the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles, CA, where Team U.K. and Team U.S. would be stripped of their cash and credit cards and challenged to cook to survive, cook to prosper and cook to win. In the ten, one-hour episodes, the teams battled coast to coast from Los Angeles, CA to New York City, NY, with the chefs living off their culinary skills and business savvy to survive and make it to their next destination. In the beginning, they would work as teams and cook to turn a profit. The team with the biggest profit would advance and the losing team was eliminated. But in the end, there was only one winner.
Trivia[]
British chef and television personality Jamie Oliver was the executive producer of the series.
