OPENING SPIEL: In just a few moments, four bakers will face off in the battle for cupcake dominance! (insert preview clip #1 & #2 here). And one by one, they'll be eliminated! As they're judged on taste (insert preview clip #3 here), presentation (insert preview clip #4 here), and in the final round, the last two bakers standing will have to bring it all together into an incredible fantasy cupcake display! The winner gets to have their creation as a centerpiece at a star-studded party celebrating one of today's hottest talents, and walks away with $10,000! (insert preview clip #4- #6) This! Cupcake Wars is a reality cooking baking cupcake designing competition show. This is a cupcake cooking spin-off from Chopped.
Gameplay[]
Four bakers compete in this show. They have to make cupcakes and create a model of something out of cupcakes. One by one, the contestants get eliminated. Whoever is last left standing and has the best looking model of the tastiest and greatest cupcakes, wins the game, gets to have their model presented at a celebrity party, and wins $10,000.
Round 1[]
In the first round, the contestants must create a cupcake based on taste alone with a theme associated including a twist of ingredient(s) in 45 minutes. For example, a date-night themed cupcake must include various aphrodisiacs, such as oysters, basil, dark chocolate or champagne.
Round 2[]
The second round is based on both taste and presentation. In 75 minutes, the contestants must make 3 different cupcakes, each showcasing a different taste with an outstanding presentation.
Round 3[]
The third round is hardest, with the remaining 2 teams making 1,000 cupcakes in only 2 hours (originally 4 hours in the first episode). Each team is assisted with the help of a 5-person team consisting of one carpenter and four baking interns to create the showcase for the cupcakes and help make the cupcakes for their corresponding contestants. This is the only round that the judges did not taste the cupcakes at the judges table, instead the judges tastes the cupcakes at the display. Both the cupcakes and the display must relate to the theme and they must be new and improved.

The cakes are based on the episode's theme. For example, An orca whale cupcake Model for a Seaworld Birthday Party or a "Madagascar 3" Premiere cupcake model.
