Super Jeopardy![]

Three years later, he was returned to be in this tournament. In the seventh quarterfinal match, he faced against Chuck Forrest, Ron Black, and Yael Sofaer, answered the fifteen responses (including 1 DD) right and four of them were wrong. In the Final Jeopardy! round, all four players got the right response and it was enough to be in the semifinals, becoming the first person to ever beat Chuck Forrest on Jeopardy!.

In the third semifinal match, he faced 5-time champions Bob Blake (who, coincidentally, had broken Chuck Forrest's 5-day record) and Jeff Richmond, answered twenty responses right and five (including 2 DDs) were incorrect. In the Final Jeopardy! round, two players got the right response and it was enough to advance to the finals.

In the final game, he went up against 4-time champion Bruce Seymour and 5-time champion and fellow 1987 ToC finalist Bob Verini, answered six responses and five of them were wrong. Since he was in the red, he did not play in the Final Jeopardy!, taking home $25,000 for third place.

Ultimate Tournament of Champions[]

In 2005, he returned in the UToC[1]. In the fourth game of the first round, he faced with 2000 College Championship winner Janet Wong and 5-time champion Alan Bailey, answered sixteen responses correct and only three of them incorrect. In the Final Jeopardy! round, he was the only person who got the wrong response but it was enough to advance to the second round.

In the tenth match of the second round, he went up against 1995 ToC winner Ryan Holznagel and 5-time champion Chris Miller, answered eighteen responses and seven responses wrong (including 1 DD). However, in the FJ!, he did not come up with the right response and it wasn't enough to advance to the third round, taking home the $10,000.
