David Fitzgerald Doyle (December 1, 1929 – February 26, 1997) was an American actor best known for his portrayal of John Bosley on the 1970s TV series Charlie's Angels and as the voice of Grandpa Lou Pickles on Nickelodeon's Rugrats from 1991-1997. Joe Alaskey then took over as the voice of Grandpa Lou Pickles until the series end in 2004. Doyle died of a heart attack on February 26, 1997. He was survived by his wife, Anne Nathan Doyle, and daughter Leah Doyle. Doyle was predeceased by his sister Mary, who died on June 8, 1995, from lung cancer.
