Thomas Richard “Dick” Martin (born January 30, 1922, in Battle Creek, MI; died May 24, 2008, in Santa Monica, CA) was a well-known comedian and host, best known for Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In. He hosted two game shows: one was the short-lived NBC game show Mindreaders, and the other was The Cheap Show. He also appeared as a guest on Password Plus and Match Game, among others. In 1981, he appeared in a special celebrity week of the aforementioned Password Plus; he appeared with Betty White, Lucille Ball, and Desi Arnaz, Jr. Ironically, he won Alphabetics with Betty, the person at whom he is angry in the adjacent picture. Dick lost his life due to breathing complications. He was 86 years young.
