Dr. Trombones was an evil musical instrument-like villain that appeared in a Halloween-themed episode of the long-running CBS daytime game show The Price is Right. He is obviously known for being the famous "losing horns" when someone loses a pricing game or when there's a Double Overbid in the Showcases.

Even though he is bent on preventing all TPIR contestants from winning, Dr. Trombones' diabolical plans can be thwarted by a team of six superheroes: The Plinkster (George Gray), Manuela Transmission (Manuela Arbeláez), Yodely Gal (Rachel Reynolds), Ab Man (James O'Halloran), The Purrtector (Amber Lancaster) and Captain Giveaway (Drew Carey), more collectively known as "The Prize League".
