Dream League was a sports-themed game of sports trivia & sports challenges.

Gameplay[]

This show features two teams of players (blue and red), consisting of three contestants (later two) along with one sports celebrity captain competed in a test of sports knowledge and athletic ability.

Main Game[]

The game was played in two halves. In each half, the goal was to earn points by answering enough questions correctly & performing sports stunts. Each half lasted for five minutes.

Trivia Round[]

The question rounds were modeled like a football game; for the object of this round was to score a touchdown, starting at one goal line and finishing at the other. The host asked nothing but toss-up sports questions and the first team to buzz-in with a correct answer moved down 10 yards, while responding within three seconds scored double or 20 yards. A referee was available at all times and he charged teams by throwing down a penalty flag, and even worse, sending teams back 10 yards for giving silly/stupid answers. Each time a team reached the finishing goal line, they scored points (100 in the first half & 200 in the second half).

Stunt Round[]

The team that scored the touchdown points also won the right to score extra points by playing a sports stunt. The sports stunts in the first season could be one of the following:

  1. Passing a football in terms of accuracy
  2. Shooting baskets
  3. Putting a golf ball
  4. Hitting a softball.

Each member of the team got one shot and they scored depending on the difficulty on the shot made. Here are the values:

  • Easy Shot - 10
  • Medium Shot - 25
  • Hard Shot - 50

The team with the most points at the end of the game won a prize and the right to play the "Dream Cycle" bonus round for a grand prize vacation. The losing team won sports mugs and crying towels to be used when heading for the showers.

Dream League Challenge Cycle (Bonus Round)[]

In the "Dream Cycle" round, members of the winning team each tried to complete a sports challenge within a 30-second time limit (sometimes 45) in order to win the trip.
