Face Value was a short-lived, edgy game show that will finally answer the age-old question "Can You Judge a Book by its Cover?".
Premise[]
This series is flipping the script to award cash and prizes for correctly guessing facts about strangers from all walks of life – based solely on their appearance and a few other details. Two teams led by celebrity captains must answer questions about people based on nothing but their appearance in order to win cash prizes and ultimately determine if it's possible to judge a book by it's cover. It also will humorously break down stereotypes, expose prejudices and celebrate the human spirit by highlighting the commonalities and differences among people of various backgrounds, races, religions, beliefs and life experiences.
Gameplay[]
Round One: Snap Judgment[]
The teams watch random people on the street being interviewed by Haddish, with each person interviewed being asked a yes-or-no personal question. The teams must predict how those people would answer those questions, with each correct prediction worth 100 points. The teams predict answers on three questions each, taking turns.
Round Two: Get A Clue[]
Each question asked has four multiple-choice answers, and each correct prediction is worth 200 points. The teams predict answers on two questions each, taking turns, with the trailing team going first.
Round Three: Going Deep[]
Each question asks which of four interviewed people pertains to a fact. Each correct prediction is worth 300 points, with the opposing team getting a chance to steal if the team in turn makes an incorrect prediction. The teams predict answers on two questions each, taking turns going first in making predictions.
The team with the most points at the end of the game and advances to the bonus round.
Bonus Round[]
The winning team chooses one of four interviewed people to answer questions about. All the questions asked in this round are yes-or-no questions. If the team answers ten questions correctly within 60 seconds, they win $10,000.
