Fun for the Money was a game show inspired by the rules of baseball, which featured two teams competing in various stunts and games, each round of which constituted an "inning".

Gameplay[]

On this show, set in a baseball-like atmosphere, members of four-main teams had to perform tasks given them, such as putting a diaper on a doll or hitting a football with a croquet mallet. Performance of each stunt constituted an "inning" of the game and the team with the most points won cash prizes and a chance to earn more by answering a jackpot question.

Trivia[]

This early produced show was taped in at WENR Studios at the Civic Opera House in Chicago, IL.

This was the only TV game show emceed by veteran game show announcer Johnny Olson. Olson also hosted numerous variety and talk shows for the DuMont network in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
