Gary "Altman" Owens (born May 10, 1936, in Mitchell, South Dakota, died on February 12, 2015) is an American broadcaster and voice over, best known for his work on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. He was the host of Letters To Laugh-In, and one of the hosts of The Gong Show; in fact, he was supposed to do both versions of The Gong Show, but the job of the daytime host went to creator Chuck Barris who would do the nighttime version later. He also announced for America's Funniest Home Videos in Bob Saget's final two seasons as host, succeeding Ernie Anderson. Owens died at age 80 from complications from type I diabetes.
