"General Mills, home of Betty Crocker, presents, GIANT STEP! And now, here's your host for General Mills, the star of Giant Step, BERT PARKS!"
Giant Step was a quiz show where contestants ranging in age from 7 to 17 competed for a free college education and an all-expense-paid vacation to Europe after graduation.
Gameplay[]
The students picked their topic and attempted to complete the eight steps of questioning to win the grand prize. As with The $64,000 Question, players answered only one big question per week. Each question had two parts, and if both parts were answered correctly, they won the right to go on to the next step in the game. Answering at least one part of the question correctly earned them merchandise prizes, which increased with each question.
