This Grand Slam was a radio musical quiz where listeners competed with the studio audience.

CBS Radio (Daily): 9/30/1946 – 8/14/1953

Host[edit | edit source]

Irene Beasley

Announcer[edit | edit source]

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Listeners would submit questions with five parts to the show. Each part was called a "trick". If a contestant won the trick, he/she won a prize; otherwise, the listener won the prize. If either side won all five tricks, it was a "grand slam" (hence the name of the show) and that participant won a $100 savings bond in addition to the other prizes.
