A high school quiz bowl for the Michigan area.
Gameplay[]
Two teams of high schools compete each week in this quiz bowl competition.
Round 1 (Toss-Up)[]
The host reads a series of toss-up questions and the first player on either team to buzz-in gets a chance to answer. Answering incorrectly gives the opponents a chance to steal. Each question is worth 10 points. The time limit is eight minutes.
Round 2[]
Round two deals with two lightning rounds. The first one is played by the trailing team and the other is played by the leading team. Each team gets 60 seconds (one minute) to answer up to ten questions from a specific category from a choice of three. Each correct answer is still worth 10 points, but answering all ten also earned a 20 point bonus for a total of 120 points. After one team's 60 seconds (one minute) are up, the opposing team gets 30 seconds to answer questions missed or passed by the first team. The host would give answers to questions missed by both teams after the 90 seconds (1:30) were up or all questions were exhausted.
Round 3 (Extra Credit)[]
The rules are the same as round one, only here there are also "extra credit" questions. These are questions which can only be answered by the team who answered the toss-up question correctly. Again correct answers are worth 10 points. The time limit is eight minutes.
The team with the most points at the end of the final round when the time was up won the game.
