The Jay & Tony Show
High School Musical: Get in the Picture was a short lived reality competition series where it takes young contestants that are between the ages of 16-22 by showing off their singing and dancing skills for a chance to participate in a summer music program that will make them even better on stage. This was based on the popular High School Musical TV Movie series that aired on the Disney Channel.
Children competed in a singing contest. Similar to reality talent competition shows like American Idol and The X Factor. Whoever had the best song and voice got a grand prize of having a record contract with Disney and a music video to an original song, "Just Gettin' Started" to be shown during the credits of High School Musical 3: Senior Year. The contestants who did not advance were forced to go into the Chorus. However, the Chorus stayed on the show and were allowed to be backup singers/dancers in the music video.
In development, the show was original called High School Musical: Summer Session.
For the lone season, Stan Carrizosa was named as the winner of the contest while Tierney Chamberlain was the runner up.
The show only lasted for 11 episodes and the Nielsen ratings were surprisingly low for this show.
