House of Dreams was a short-lived reality series where competing couples plan, design, build and decorate their dream house where only one of them gets to keep the home.
Premise[]
In the great American tradition of communal barn raising and homesteading, the series brings together a community of individual who combine forces to plan, design, build and decorate a dream house. However, the catch is that only one of them will end up owning it. Week by week, the filed of builders narrows.
British Version[]
A British version called Building the Dream was produced shortly after the American version was canceled. It aired on ITV1 and was hosted by Linda Barker.
