I Wanna Be a Soap Star was a four-season reality show where a dozen hopefuls vie for a contract role on a daytime soap that tests their acting chops and off-camera abilities. Based on the British format, simply titled Soapstars.

Trivia[]
The original British version called Soapstars ran on ITV1 for a brief period from 3 September (September 3) until 7 November (November 7) 2001. The voiceover was Daniel Hill while Carol Vorderman (of Countdown fame) presented the live final episode.
