Jamie Farr (born Jameel Joseph Farah, July 1, 1934) is an American television, film, and theater actor. He is best known for having played the role of cross-dressing Corporal (later Sergeant) Maxwell Q. Klinger in the CBS television sitcom M*A*S*H and its short-lived spin-off AfterMASH and he had appeared in numerous television game shows. At one time, he was given a chance to host his own game show called Oddball, but it didn't sell. But he did however sub for Tom Kennedy on NBC's Wordplay. Jamie even played a game show host in the 1984 film For Love or Money which also starred Buck Rogers star Gil Gerard and Bob Newhart's Suzanne Pleshete (the real life wife of the late game show guest star Tom Poston).
