Jeopardy! run[]

Regular Game[]

She made her Jeopardy! debut on October 11, 2021, and faced 38-day champion Matt Amodio and Jonathan Fisher. Throughout the first two rounds, she came up with 14/14 correct responses. She trailed Jonathan by just $200 going into Final Jeopardy, $14,600 to $14,400 (with Matt in third at $10,600). She and Jonathan got Final correct. Jessica wagered all but a dollar in Final and Jonathan wagered all of his money to become the new champion; thus, she was second place with $2,000. Matt received $1,000.

Second Chance Week 1[]

In the first semifinal game, she faced off against Cindy Zhang and Aaron Gulyas. Throughout the first two rounds, she came up with 18/20 correct responses (including 1/1 Daily Double). She and Aaron got Final correct. Jessica advanced to the finals, while Cindy received $2,000 and Aaron received $1,000.

In the finals, she faced off against James Fraser and Molly Karol. Throughout the finals, she came up with 38/40 correct responses (including 2/2 Daily Double). Everyone got 1/2 Final Jeopardy correct. Jessica came from behind and advanced to the Tournament of Champions via runaway. James received $20,000 and Molly received $10,000.

Tournament of Champions[]

In the sixth quarterfinal game, she faced off against Zach Newkirk and Sam Buttrey. Throughout the first two rounds, she came up with 4/11 correct responses. She finished Double Jeopardy with -$5,800, and was eliminated from Final Jeopardy, but after losing to Sam (in a runaway game), she and Zach took home $5,000.

Trivia[]

  • As she won the SCT, it became the first case that all three people who competed together advanced. Also, with Rowan Ward competing against Matt Amodio winning the SCT, it became the first case of three people competing together in ToC. However, all three players, including herself, failed to make it through the Quarterfinal, and as Matt, who was a strong candidate for the championship, was caught by Sam, S37 became a season in which not a single player, following S21 and S28, advanced to the ToC finals. Additionally, Matt's former champion and CWC winner, Josh Saak, also received the same result in ToC.

Personal Life[]

Stephens attended a Bible college in her earlier years and has spoken out about her bad experiences with the free will Baptist movement and affiliated churches.

She mentioned taking improv classes in her Second Chance appearance, which she said was helpful.
