"Kansas Lottery presents...The Bonanza Game! The Bonanza Game is sponsored in part by (insert sponsor)"
Kansas Lottery: The Bonanza Game was a traveling lottery game show for the state of Kansas.
Gameplay[]
The game was played with six lottery winning players standing around a big wheel, competing for a chance to win $50,000. On the wheel are numbers 1 to 4, accompanied by mostly a plus (+) sign and sometimes a minus (-) sign. Two of the numbers were double spots; explanation later. Also on the wheel are cash bonus wedges ($1,000 & $2,000) and a wedge marked TRIP. Also there's a game board with colored light ladders above the player's names, one for each player, with $25,000 at the top. On a player's turn, (s)he must spin the wheel and whatever number was landed on, that was the number steps that either lit up or turned off, depending on the space. When landing on a bonus wedge, the player in control would either have to take the step or take home the landed prize. When landing on a doubler, twice as money steps would light up A spin has to go all the way around to count and that indication would be made by a green triangle light. The first player to reach the top of the board by taking 11 steps wins the game and the $25,000.
Double Bonanza[]
The winning player would try to double the money to $50,000. To start, the winning player had a choice to make. (S)he could either take the $25,000 and quit or try to double the money. If (s)he decided to go for it, the player was face with two safes. One hid the $50,000 and the other hid $10,000, effectively costing the contestant $40,000. Whatever the safe the contestant chose, (s)he got what was in there.
