William Kent Blackwelder (b. March 1, 1955 - d. December 24, 2017) was a mortgage broker from Powell, Tennessee, known for being seventh place on the hit show Big Brother.
Big Brother[]
While in the house, Kent became known for his loud Southern accent, which annoyed several of his housemates. Kent ran out of cigarettes during his stay in the house, and attempted to quit smoking as production would not provide him with more. Kent attempted to form alliances very early in the game, forming an alliance with the other men in the house. Kent had a close friendship with Bunky, which came as a shock to the other HouseGuests due to Bunky's sexuality. He had a strong dislike for the members of the Chilltown alliance, and often engaged in arguments with Mike and Shannon. Kent was one of the HouseGuests to form the Hot Box and TOP alliances, both created to go against the members of Chilltown. Kent was the fourth Head of Household of the season, and was nominated for eviction twice during his stay in the house. He was evicted on Day 40, coming in seventh place; he voted for Will to win. Since appearing on the series, Kent returned to Tennessee to live with his family. Kent often discussed the series with fans, and remained close friends with Bunky.

On December 24, 2017, Kent died of a heart attack at the age of 62.
