Kobe Bryant (August 23, 1978 - January 26, 2020) was a former American basketball player who spent ten years in his career with the Los Angeles Lakers where he won five NBA championships (2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, and 2010). At the time Bryant began his playing career, he was only 18 years old. He was also the son of former NBA player, Joe Bryant. His game show appearances included Deal or No Deal, American Idol, and Ridiculousness.
On January 26, 2020, Bryant and his daughter, Gianna (aka Gigi), were both killed in a helicopter crash, along with seven other people on board. Bryant is survived by his wife Vanessa, and their three children, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.
