Lauren Shiohama (born on March 27, 1982) was born in Newport Beach, California. She gets her unique look from her Japanese and Chinese decent.
Shiohama graduated from the University of Southern California in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in communications and a minor in business administration. Prior to Pursuing modeling and acting full-time, Shiohama had aspirations for a career in business. However, on the advice of a family friend, Shiohama decided to take a leap of faith and move to Los Angeles in hopes of pursuing her dream career in the entertainment industry.
In 2006, Shiohama made her feature film debut in Little Miss Sunshine, which won a SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Award for Best Ensemble Cast.
Also in 2006, Shiohama appeared as one of the 26 briefcase models on NBC's Deal or No Deal. She held Briefcase #8 for seasons two and three, then moved to Briefcase #12 for the show's fourth and final season.
In 2008, Shiohama appeared the iWeb Awards when the show iCarly won in the episode "iGo To Japan"
In an effort to take her acting career futher, Shiohama has been studying at the Michael Woolsen Studio. While acting is her passion, Shiohama has continued to persue her career in modeling. Shiohama was recently featured in a Lincoln Mercury commercial and has done numerous print ad campaigns for companies such as: Macy's, Stila, Nike, Target, 24 Hour Fitness, Shape magazine, Cosmopolitan and Glamour magazine.
When not working, Shiohama enjoys cooking for her family and friends. Following her beloved USC Trojans football team, snowboarding, shopping and going to the beach.
