KIRK: Thank you, thank you very much, nice to see you, and thank/great/good to see you, Olmec. Welcome to (Legends of) the Hidden Temple. (Actually, it's Olmec's Temple. [mainly used in Season 1]) The Rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by Mysterious Mayan Temple Guards. (Only) Olmec knows the Legend behind each of the treasures in his Temple. Which one are we going to hear (about) today? 

OLMEC: The Legend of (insert legend artifact).

KIRK: ([Okay/Alright,] The legend of (insert legend artifact)!) (The Legend is set, and) One of these six teams will have a chance to retrieve the (insert legend artifact) (and help us return it to it's rightful owner [mainly used in early Season 1 episodes]), will it be the Red Jaguars, The Blue Barracudas, The Green Monkeys, The Orange Iguanas, The Purple Parrots, or the Silver Snakes? They're gonna have to pass some (pretty) tough physical and mental tests. And in the end, only one team will have the right to enter Olmec's Temple. But first, they must cross the moat, and here's/Olmec will tell us how they have to do it today."

OLMEC: The (insert artifact of the day) can be found in (insert specific Temple Room)." - Kirk Fogg telling Olmec where the artifact of the day was found in the Temple Room before explaining the rules of the Steps of Knowledge.

"Teams, you're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec will ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the Ancient Marking in front of you.

  • If you're first, your step will light up. Go ahead, stomp on it. (team buzzes in) (insert team), you were stomped down/ring in first, and if you answered correctly, you'd move down to the next level." - Season 1 Only
  • If you're right, you're gonna move down to the next level." - Seasons 2 and 3

"(But,) If you're wrong, or you run out of time, I'm gonna give the other teams a chance to answer. The first two teams to make it to the bottom level, (will be going on to the Temple Games, and) will be one step closer to Olmec's temple. Let's get started. Olmec, (we're now ready for your) first question." - Kirk Fogg (explaining about the Steps of Knowledge)

"That is correct." - Olmec (if an answer is correct in the steps of knowledge)

  • "I'm gonna ask/read you a question. If you think you know the answer, hit the gong in front of you. You'll have three seconds to answer, and I/we must accept your first response. If you're right, you and your partner will be going to the Temple (and search for [insert legend]). If you're wrong, or you run out of time, your opponents automatically win. - (Season 1)
  • "In a minute, Olmec will ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, hit the gong in front of you. You'll have three seconds to answer, and I/we must accept your first response. The TempleEdit

"Welcome back to Legends. The (insert winning team) have proven themselves worthy and now have earned the right to enter Olmec's Temple. But before we get started/first, here's Olmec who will give them some information to help them retrieve (insert artifact of the day)." - Kirk Fogg

"You could start by running into the Room of the Three Gargoyles. Push in the right tongue, and a door might lead you down a staircase and into the Wall Climb/run across the Troubled Bridge. Here, you must choose your next path. You could race up into the Observatory, spin the sundial, and pass into the Room of the Golden Idols/Treasure Room. Once there, push down their bases to release the doors, that may take you below/there, you'll lift up the treasure chest and climb down through it, or try to enter/lead you into the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue, and you maybe headed for the Torch Room/Pirate's Cove. If the elevator is up, then you can descend into the Mine Shaft/Spin the ship's wheel, and you can descend into the Dungeon. You can climb up the ladder, or plow through the stone wall, find the key, and it may unlock the Tomb of Ancient Kings, which will allow you to enter the Treacherous Swamp/climb into the Spider's Lair/Next, you could climb into the Swamp. If you escape, then you may have a chance to sit upon the Throne of the Pretender/enter the room of Harmonic Convergence. Stand on the proper two steps, and the doors may open. If the correct door is unlock/stone slab is up, you could crawl/run through the Pit of Despair, and finally make your way through the Cave of Sighs and back through the Temple Gate." Olmec (gives a run through the temple from early Season 1)

"You could start by run into the Cave of Sighs, and climbing down into the Pit of Despair. Turn the wheel to lift the slab, then race into the Room of Harmonic Convergence/Throne Room. Stand on the right two steps/sit on the Throne of the Pretender, and you could choose to go up into the Heart Room/Room of Fallen Columns, or into the Bamboo Forest/Treacherous Holes of Python. If you escape, then you might have a chance to enter the Tomb of Ancient Kings. Find the right key to go upstairs, or plow through the wall, and into the Well. Next, jump in the bucket and rise up into the Room of Three Torches. Find the right torch holder that will allow you to enter the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue, and you maybe headed for the Treasure Room/Treasury of Golden Orbs. Next, race up into the Observatory, spin the sundail/celestial lights, and run across the Troubled Bridge, then pass through the Room of The Gargoyles/The Royal Gongs, race down the stairs, and back through the Temple Gate." - Olmec (gives a run through the Temple from late Season 1)

"You could start by climbing through the Ledges, and climbing down into the Pit of Despair/Rock Quarry/Pit. Crawl through the Pit/Throw five rocks into the bucket to lift the slab, then race in the Throne Room/Laser Light Room. Sit on the Throne of the Pretender/Unleash the power of the special White Laser, and you could choose to go up into the Heart Room/Medusa's Lair/The Room of the Mandarin Hand, or... into the treacherous Swamp/Jester's Court. If you escape then/Place yourself against the right wall painting and you might have a chance to enter the Dark Forest. Reach into the hole and find the key, or/but be careful, one of the trees could be inhabited by the spirit of a temple guard. If they grab you, you'll have to give up a Pendant of Life. (Next,) Plow through the wall and into the Mine Shaft. There, ride the elevator up into the Viper's Nest/Lightning Ball Room/Room of the Secret Password. and pull the snakes from the jars to/Connect the power cords to create your own Lightning which will/Find the tablet with the right password and shout it out, to open the door to the SHRINE OF THE SILVER MONKEY. Assemble the statue and you maybe headed for the King's Storeroom. Smash the claypots to find the key, which will allow you to enter the Observatory. put together the puzzle on the stone column, and jump back into the Pit/run across the Troubled Bridge/swing on the rope back across the Pit, then, pass through the Crypt, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate."- Olmec (gives a run through the Temple from Season 2)

NOTE: In most Season 2 episodes, whenever the artifact of the day was found in the specific Temple Room, Olmec would add "Where you can grab the (insert artifact of the day)."

"You could start by running up the stairs to the Crypt. Grab the books from the skeletons, and pass into the Pit of the Pendulum. Knock over the column and cliiiimb into the King's Storeroom. Smash the clay pots to find the key that will lead you into the Chamber of the Sacred Markers. Match the symbols on the right, to the runes on the left, then pass into the Room of the Ancient Warriors. Place yourself in the correct armor, and open the door to the SHRI-I-I-INE OF THE SILVER MONKEY! Assemble the statue, and you maybe headed toward the Room (whispers) of the Secret Password. Find the tablet with the correct inscription, and shout it out, to open the door to the Pharoah's Secret Passage. Slide down the tunnel to the Quicksand Bog where you could smash through to the Dark Forest, but beware of the temple guards that may inhabit the trees. Find the key in the tree, and you'll enter the Jester's Court. Press yourself against the correct wall painting, and you'll gain entry to the Tomb of the Headless Kings. Pull the vines to release the bones, and attach the missing skull to it's proper King. Then, race through the Pit, cliiimb through the Ledges, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate." - Olmec (gives a run through the Temple from Season 3)

"The choices are yours and yours alone. Good luck." - Olmec (in Season 1)

"Thank you/Thanks, Olmec. You guys won (insert number) pendants here in the temple games. Who's going first? (Contestant: I AM!) Okay, now, which way you're gonna go, up or down? (Contestant: UP/DOWN.) Okay, now, when I say "GO", you're gonna race through the (temple) gates into the Temple and make your way towards the (insert specific room) and grab the (insert artifact of the day). But be careful, because the Temple has many locked doors and dead ends, and also hidden inside the Temple are Temple Guards, assigned to protect three specific rooms. If you enter/go in one of those rooms, a Temple Guard will run/jump out and (he'll) capture you, but you can trade your pendant in for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a pendant, you'll be taken/he'll take you out of the temple and it will be (insert name)'s turn to enter and try his/her luck. (You have a pendant in a half. Hidden somewhere inside the temple is the other half of your pendant. If you find the half pendant and you're carrying the other half, you'll [also] get an extra life.) As soon as you can reach the (insert artifact of the day), all of the doors (of the temple) will instantly/magically unlock/open and the Temple Guards will vanish/disappear. And you'll have three minutes, and (for your efforts,) you will both be handsomely rewarded. And here's how." - Kirk Fogg (in Season 1)

"The choices are yours and yours alone. You won (insert number) of pendants here in the temple games. Who's going first? (Contestant: I AM!) Very well, (insert name)! When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates, into the Temple and make your way towards, (insert artifact of the day). Hidden inside the Temple are Temple Guards, assigned to protect three specific rooms. You can trade your pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a pendant, you'll be taken out of the temple and it will be (insert name)'s turn to enter and try his/her luck. (Hidden somewhere inside the temple is the other half of your pendant. If you can find it and you're carrying the other half, you will get an extra life.) If you can reach the (insert artifact of the day), all of the doors of the temple will instantly unlock and the temple guards will vanish. "Nobody found the other half pendant, which was at the (insert specific Temple room)." - Kirk Fogg (when nobody found the other half pendant from Season 3)

"Time's up/Outta time, (winning team) had a tough time at the Temple/came just one room away/this close from the (insert artifact of the day), but for just getting there, they got the (insert first prize)." - Kirk Fogg (when the winning team won just the first prize for just getting in the Temple)

"Time’s up/Outta time, (winning team) came this close, but they got the (insert first two prizes)." - Kirk Fogg (when the winning team reach the artifact, but ran out of time)

"There he/she goes, into (insert specific Temple Room)! He's/She's got the (insert artifact of the day)! He/She has (time remaining). All the doors are open! (All the Temple Guards are gone/vanished!) Just keep going!" - Kirk Fogg (when the winning team grabs the artifact of the day from the specific Temple Room, has to bring it out of the Temple before time expires)
