In 1993, Lionel was selected to represent season 2 for this special tournament that pitted players from the first 9 seasons of the show. In his semifinal game, he faced season 8's Robert Slaven and season 6's Frank Spangenberg. Towards the end of Double Jeopardy!, Lionel got to the second Daily Double, wagering $2,600 of his $5,400, which propelled him to $8,000 and was able to stop Frank from having a lock game. Unfortunately, Lionel got Final Jeopardy! incorrect, thus losing to Frank.
