Below is the list of prize rotations used on the game show Press Your Luck during 1983. New slides or slide changes are shown in bold and italicized text. The slide colors are shown in parentheses, otherwise they are red in color. Prize rotations would be updated every ten shows (since five shows were taped each of Saturday and Sunday) until around the fall of 1984 at which point a sixth episode would be taped on Sundays.

  • It's unclear if other Pilots exist. This is based on what was seen in Pilot #1.
  • Many prizes seen here, such as Disney World, Athens (which had a Blue slide), Alaska (called Alaskan Cruise), and Tahiti would later debut on the actual show.
  • Some prizes such as Niagara Falls, Aircraft, and Delta Queen only appeared in the Pilot, and never on the actual show. The Aircraft would be seen in the demo board intro.
  • The Exercise Equipment slide was red in the actual show, and was given a new picture. The original slide was given for a new prize called Exercise Cycles. The Athens slide was blue in the actual show.
  • The New York slide had comedy and tragedy masks, probably to signify that New York City is the Broadway capital of the world.

  • Cluster Ring replaces Lehigh.
  • Jog 'N Tramp, the cheapest prize ever offered on the show, makes its one and only appearance in Square #2. It is hit and won on the 10/11/83 episode.
  • Exercise Rower debuts in Square #2 when Jog 'N Tramp is hit.
  • Cassette Radio makes its only appearance in Square #7, replacing Las Vegas (which moved to #6 in Square #2).
  • The infamous misspelled "Flatwear" and Clock also debut in Square #7.
  • Swivel Rocker debuts in Square #13, replacing Home Gym. It stays on the board for more than two weeks before it is hit.
  • Wall Recliner makes its one and only appearance in Square #17 after Ring Diamond is hit. The rotation would not cycle back to this position until January 1984, when Wall Recliner is long gone. Some of the prizes in Square #17 switch places.

  • All rotations were reset to Prize #1 at the beginning of the 12/05/83 episode.
  • Car, Tent Trailer, Frankfurt, and Catamaran switch places with Billiard Table, Stereo, Maui, and Kona, respectively. This may have been an effort to move some of the more expensive prizes to Square #13, where they are accessible via both Move One Space and Advance Two Spaces. Odyssey would eventually be pulled as well, but this won't become apparent until after Catamaran is hit on 12/19/83.
