Matthew "Matty" Sollena (b. February 23, 1960 - July 19, 2019) was a trucker from Staten Island, N.Y.
Early life[]
Matty was born in Brooklyn and raised in Bensonhurst. He worked for 33 years as a Teamster as a Truck Driver. Matty was a Steelers, Mets and Rangers fan, who also enjoyed boxing. Most of all he was a family man who loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In September 18, 2006, he went on the NBC hit show Deal or No Deal, picked case #23 and won $675,000. It held the $3,000,000 top prize.
