Edgar McLean Stevenson Jr. (b. November 14, 1927 – d. February 15, 1996) was an American actor and comedian. He is best known for his role as Lt. Colonel Henry Blake in the television series M*A*S*H, which earned him a Golden Globe Award in 1974. Stevenson also appeared on a number of television shows, notably The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and The Doris Day Show. On February 15, 1996, Stevenson was diagnosed with bladder cancer and underwent surgery. However, he suffered a fatal heart attack, which lead to his death. He was 68. One day later, on February 16, 1996, Roger Bowen, Stevenson's castmate on M*A*S*H, died, also from a heart attack.
