Melody Ann Thomas Scott is an American actress best known for playing Nikki Newman on the soap opera The Young and the Restless.
Melody has been acting since she was a child and her first acting gig was a role in the 1964 Alfred Hitchcock horror flick Marnie where she played a young version of the title character played by Tippi Hedren. More movie acting roles followed and then later she jumped into the small screen by doing gigs for primetime programs.
When she was 23 years old, Melody got the acting job that she would be synonymous with for years to come. That is the role of Nikki Reed. She was actually the second actress to be cast in that role, replacing Erica Hope. Overtime her character married co-star Eric Braeden's character Victor Newman. For a brief period, both characters divorced and Nikki married Jack Abbott, originally played in the series by the late Terry Lester and today he's played by one time All My Children star Peter Bergman. Nikki & Victor eventually made up and remarried.
While still doing Y&R, Scott made guest appearances on other TV shows here & there; including one on The Nanny and one on Castle.
Plus, Melody appeared on several game shows while doing The Young and the Restless.

Scott is married three times and her current husband is her boss Y&R producer Edward J. Scott. They have three daughters together.
