Million Dollar Mile was a short-lived CBS prime time game show where it features the most challenging obstacle course ever designed will test everyday athletes' physical and mental toughness.

Premise[]

Contestants run an obstacle course and facing a group of athletes called "The Defenders", all for $1,000,000.

Gameplay[]

The contestant in control runs first and gets a two minute head start; after that, "The Defender" starts running. S/he can run to any obstacle they choose to take on. S/he must complete the obstacle s/he's on right now before moving on to another and if they fall off on the way, they must start over. The contestant runner indicates that they've completed the obstacle by pressing a yellow button at the end, while the runner makes his/her indication by hitting the green button.

Each time, s/he completes an obstacle, s/he wins money; but in order to keep it, they must go up depart from an exit wall and cross the finish line before the runner does. If the Defender finishes an obstacle or crosses the finish line first, the contestant loses the money.

Money Ladder[]

After a contestant completes an obstacle, they earn a level of prize money. However, they are not guaranteed that money until they successfully exit the course. Contestants who complete any three obstacles are automatically guaranteed $50,000 regardless of whether they finish or not.

An equally short-lived German version aired on ProSieben as Renn zur Million ... wenn Du Kannst! (Run for a million ... if you can!) hosted by Daniel Aminati & Rebecca-Zarah Mir/Rebecca Me Aired in 2019 for only four episodes in total.

Tim is also professional football & baseball player.

Legendary NBA player LeBron James is one of the executive producers, additionally that was James' second primetime game show that he produced, his first was The Wall for NBC in 2016.

Broadcast History[]

When it first premiered, it aired on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. But due to its debut of disappointing ratings, the show was then moved to Saturdays at 8 p.m. beginning May 4 as The Amazing Race became its replacement.
