My Life is a Sitcom was a short-lived, two-season reality series that turns the lives of a real American family into a sitcom pilot.
Out of the hundreds of tapes submitted, eight families were chosen to have their homes invaded by the sitcom writers to determine whether their lives are worthy of being made into a sitcom. Only one family will be selected to star in a sitcom pilot based on their real lives to be shot in front of a live studio audience.
- The show was cancelled due to the lack of demand and viewers.
- The Zaccagnino Family were the winners of this short-lived series.
- The second season format changed as Joe Mozian, a stay-at-home dad that was featured during the first season, traveled across America casting ordinary folks as his real-life family members before arriving in L.A. to shoot the pilot.
