NFL Trivia Game was a short-lived sports trivia game show where two teams of three studio players competed to answer Football-related trivia questions.

Gameplay[]

The game was divided into four quarters and began with a coin toss. The challenging team called the coin and had the option of keeping control of the game or passing control to their opponents.

The team answering questions scored a "touchdown" worth six points if they answered three consecutive questions correctly. Players alternated answering and only one could respond to a particular question. If they scored a "touchdown", then they played the extra point question. A team lost control of the game when they missed a question or after they scored.

The last part of the fourth quarter of the game was called "the two-minute drill" and all questions had true or false answers.

The team with the most points won the game, $500 and returned to face new challengers. Teams that won three weeks in a row returned for the "Playoff Round" and the winner of that round won a trip to the upcoming Super Bowl.

Trivia[]

John "The General" Stratton was awarded MVP of the 1989 final round and valiantly led his team to a stellar second place finish. The General and his crew narrowly missed out on Super Bowl tickets. It was rumored that the winning team had tested positive for HGH; however, no rectification occurred due to the subsequent cancellation of the game show.
