Pants-Off Dance-Off (abbreviated as PODO) was a short-lived dance contest series that featured stripteasers as they danced while disrobing to their favorite music videos.

Gameplay[]

In each episode, five contestants would striptease to a music video, while interviews, soundbites and photos revealed stories about each so-called "pancer". For the first two seasons, the audience selected each episodes winner by texting their vote. However, the final season used a format where judges selected the weekly winner. Each episode's winner received $200 and the opportunity to compete in a championship at the end of the season.

Trivia[]

Season 2 host Jodie Sweetin is best knowed for playing as Stephanie Tanner on the formerly popular 1987-1995 hit ABC sitcom Full House.

In October 2009, the show was launched in the U.K. on MTV's new channel Viva. The show has a completely new look and currently broadcasts in double bill episodes. There is no cash prize on the U.K. version and there is no overall winner.

A MuchMusic Canada version involved the dancers stripping, often with the use of "Mystery Object" while an unseen narrator makes jokes.
