Daniel Patrick Harrington Jr. (b. August 13, 1929 – d. January 6, 2016) was an American voice, stage, and television actor, best known for his role as building superintendent Dwayne Schneider on the sitcom One Day at a Time. His father Pat Harrington Sr. was also an actor. By late 2015, Harrington was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. In addition, he suffered a minor brain hemorrhage and spent three weeks in a hospital and nursing home. He died as a result from all of this on January 6, 2016 at age 86. Harrington is survived by his wife Sally Cleaver and his four children.
