People Will Talk (not to be confused with the 1951 romantic comedy/drama film of the same name) was a short lived debating game show.
Gameplay[]
On this show, contestants argued opposite sides of a question, then had to find supporters for their opinions among a panel of fifteen judges representing the American public.
Each game opened with a roving reporter conducting a vox pop interview on a variety of topics. Following this, two contestants (each repersenting either side of the issue) were brought to the studio to debate it.
After the debate, the panel voted for either point of view. The contestants then attempted to select panel members that they thought agreed with their opinions. Whoever they chose, that panelist won $25 for the person whose side they chose. The first contestant to collect $100 won the game and merchandise prizes.
