Game Shows Wiki

Professor Price was a short-lived, large animatronic, puppet-like character from the equally short-lived pricing game of the same name from the long-running game show The Price is Right.

Background[]

General knowledge and pricing questions were used for this character until the contestant gave either three correct responses and won the car or three incorrect responses and lost the game. The contestant's progress was tracked by the professor's hands; correct answers were counted by upward-pointing fingers on the puppet's right hand while incorrect answers were counted by downward-pointing fingers on his left hand. When the answer was correct, the professor smiled and nodded his head. But if the answer was incorrect, he frowned and shook his head.

Later History[]

Since then after his 34 year absence, Professor Price returned in The Price is Right Decades video game available for the Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 (via PSN), IOS and Android devices from 2011 until 2012.
